Kanye West is bringing his music to India for the first time, according to local reports.
The Chicago rapper has reportedly confirmed concert dates across the country in April 2026, marking his return to international touring after a tumultuous 2025. West’s India tour represents a major return after widespread concert cancellations last year.
The 47-year-old artist has faced multiple venue rejections and festival withdrawals over anti-Semitic comments and controversial social media posts.
Slovakia’s Rubicon festival dropped West from its July 2025 lineup after protest groups organized a petition against his appearance. Festival organizers canceled the entire event, citing “external pressures and logistical challenges,” rather than letting West continue as the headliner.
South Korea also canceled West’s planned May 2025 concert. Organizers canceled the Seoul show after he released the song “Heil Hitler,” which glorified Nazi ideology and sparked international outrage.
The mayor of Prague publicly refused to host any Western concerts, saying there was “no room for anti-Semitism” in the Czech capital. 2025 saw similar rejections at venues across Europe and Asia.
West later claimed he had “had enough of anti-Semitism” and re-released the controversial song “Hallelujah” with Christian lyrics replacing the Nazi content.
The India dates mark West’s first confirmed international gig since the Italian concert was announced. He is scheduled to perform at the RCF Arena in Reggio Emilia on July 18, 2026, his first European show since 2014.
West has visited India twice before, not because of poor performances. In 2009, he came to the Ashram for a spiritual retreat and returned to Mumbai in 2012 to promote his women’s fashion line.
India’s growing interest in international hip-hop makes the timing of the tour in the West strategic. Travis Scott and Post Malone have been on successful tours in India in recent months, attracting huge crowds.
West’s April 2026 India tour will support his upcoming album Bully.
The project was released on January 30, 2026 after multiple delays, marking his first major release since the anti-Semitism controversy began.
