Kanye West has spoken out after revealing that VULTURES 1 and VULTURES 2 may be removed from the streaming platform due to a dispute with Atlantic Records.

In addition to breaking the news to Ye, the text message revealed that The Atlantic’s new executives allegedly demanded 40% of the two albums’ total revenue or they would be removed from the streaming platform.
“Julie Greenwald, co-director of The Atlantic, just called me,” the message read. “She had just been fired. She said the new chief wouldn’t give us a grace period to process Atlantic’s compensation.
“She suggested that I let [distributors] Too Lost and Create know that 40% of all revenue from V1 and V2 needs to be paid to Atlantic, she said that if we don’t take care of it immediately, Atlantic will remove both albums, please let us know.

Apparently, the Atlantic Records situation isn’t the only potential obstacle to the success of West and Tay’s latest collaboration. The Chicago rapper’s longtime rival Taylor Swift released four new versions of her album The Tortured Poet’s Department on July 8, seemingly giving up on West and Ty Dolla $ign Response to the four new versions of “VULTURES 2”.
Fan theories suggest that Swift was trying to prevent West from securing the project’s debut at No. 1 on the charts because she released the version to streaming an hour before the end of the sales tracking week. According to HITS Daily Double, West and Ty’s work is expected to sell about 83,000 copies in its first week, while Swift’s vinyl record is expected to sell about 142,000 copies.
While the connection between Greenwald and West is somewhat murky from a record label’s perspective, it may be recalled that she testified at a court hearing in October 2021 in a case that stemmed from March of that year NBA YoungBoy indictment.
