Kanye West returned to the headlines this week after launching a curious actor call for Sunday Service Choir in Los Angeles to ask the selected singer to shave his head.
On Wednesday night (March 12), West made another sensation, announcing public auditions for new male choir members to resume Sunday’s service event, which is scheduled to restart on March 16.
Surprisingly, West specified a strict standard of modification: “The person selected must shave his head.” However, he clarified: “Shaving his head does not require auditions.”
West’s recruitment event includes five-year-old applicants, and auditions are scheduled to be held Thursday, March 13 at 4 p.m. at a Los Angeles location that has not been disclosed.
Interested candidates must make sure their audition slots are RSVP by calling 424-547-2394.
This development comes after West’s recent Instagram teasing. Earlier this week, West shared a conversation with longtime director of Sunday Service Choir Jason White, confirming the reward.
But the excitement surrounding the announcement was quickly overshadowed by controversy after West shared an image of a white robe and a pointed turban, which drew immediate objection due to its disturbing outfit with Ku Klux Klan.

The Sunday Service was launched on January 6, 2019, with a performance that injects the gospel into the gospel along with contemporary classics.
Under Jason White’s musical guidance, the choir performed in a high-profile venue including the 2019 Coachella Festival.
The band even released a full album, The Birth of Jesus, for Christmas 2019.
These exclusive events were initially strictly invited, usually held at Calabasas Estates in the west. Participants often sign non-disclosure agreements and follow the meticulous dress codes of Yeezy’s designed clothing.
In recent setbacks, West’s reconstruction efforts rebuild the Sunday Service Choir. In October 2024, a fire destroyed his $1.5 million church property in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. Authorities said arson was possible, although no injuries were reported.
