Kanye West continues to surprise his fans by debuting a remix of Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles” during his China concert with Ty Dolla $ign .
Vultures played a sold-out show at Haikou’s Wuyuanhe Stadium over the weekend, selling more than 42,000 tickets in minutes, making themselves one of the few Western artists to perform in the notoriously harsh country. Touring there with Justin Bieber.
Hailed as a “vulture” listening experience, the show features many noteworthy moments, including the debut of a remake of Carlton’s 2002 hit.
In a clip of the song filmed on the show, Tay can be heard singing Carlton’s lyrics to a very similar tempo to the original song.

While Ye’s vocals aren’t heard in the video, the song also features wild noises taken from Skinbone’s 2018 viral parody remix “A Thousand Miles.”
The unexpected song left many listeners confused, with one commenting on X (formerly Twitter): “The days of fucking vultures are over.”
Another said: “Vulture 3 is going to be the biggest troll ever”, while someone else even declared: “Kanye is losing his real-time creativity.”
Even streaming star Adin Ross was surprised by the song while watching the concert on his Kick channel.

Elsewhere in the show, Kanye West debuted another brand new song called “Preacher Man,” which received an even more positive response from fans online.
He revealed that the song is from his “next project,” although it’s unclear whether he’s referring to Vultures 3 or his upcoming solo album.
Kanye also found time to insult his former business partner Adidas again, giving him the middle finger as the crowd chanted “Fuck Adidas.”
West also performed the yet-to-be-released “Everybody,” a song that prominently emulates the style of the Backstreet Boys, accompanied on stage by his four children holding hands.
For the rapper and fashion mogul, the concert represents a trip back in time, as he lived in China for a year as a child while his mother, Donda West, served as a school teacher in the country teacher.
He admitted as much on Instagram, posting an old photo of himself in China with the caption: “Back.”

During this landmark show, Yeezy performed over 90 songs from his decorated catalog.
In addition to songs from the Vultures project, Ye also reached into his music library to perform classics such as “All Falls Down,” “Flashing Lights” and “Black Skinhead.”
He also dropped some lesser-played tracks, such as his remix of Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop,” Estelle’s collaboration “American Boy” and his rendition of Rihanna’s “Diamonds.”
In late August, Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign played a similar show in nearby South Korea, where the GOOD Music founder once again made headlines for shouting out frenemy Drake.
