Kai Cenat, the streaming star who has captivated millions online, recently previewed pretty much the entire Drake x Lil Yachty collaboration — and it’s exactly the vibe you want.
The song, which appears to be titled “Supersoak,” samples Mr. Hotspot’s “Goodness Gracious,” and is a minimalist composition with a heavy sing-song 808 bassline and trap drums. The sound space isn’t cluttered at all, giving Drake and Yachty plenty of space to do their thing.

Drake once again takes a Lover Boy approach on the track that feels underwater, shaving off the sample’s high frequencies in places to create a sublime and haunting sonic theme. The production is reminiscent of Noah 40’s recognizable production style, although at this stage we’re not sure who actually produced it.

There’s no mention of a release date either – but is this really a song Drake is going to release? Rumors have been swirling about how Drake will return with some powerful music, but a collaboration with Yachty, while nice, might not be enough to get over the aftermath of Dot’s feud with Drake.
That said, Drake seems to be speaking from the heart about this. It’s certainly a nice touch to bring in the nostalgia associated with rainy days and talk of survival while he mentions Cleopatra, the Pyramids, and even Cinderella. Drake’s existing fan base won’t dislike this. As for Yachty, he always brings a new school feel with sparse syllables scattered throughout his verses as he tunes his voice just right to match the sentiments Drake is expressing. Let’s wait for the official release!
