Justin Timberlake was arrested for driving drunk in the Hamptons.
The “Sexy Back” singer was reportedly arrested Monday night (June 17) in the Long Island village of Sag Harbor, a law enforcement official told ABC News. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
Sag Harbor is a popular nightlife destination on the east end of Long Island adjacent to the Hamptons.
A source told People that Timberlake was arrested after dining at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor. Police pulled him over after leaving the restaurant while driving to a friend’s house.
Meanwhile, sources with the Sag Harbor Police Department say Timberlake remains in custody. “No one was injured,” the source said. Timberlake is scheduled to be arraigned sometime Tuesday morning.
It’s unclear whether the arrest will affect Justin Timberlake’s upcoming Forget Tomorrow world tour dates. He will perform in Chicago later this week (June 20-21).
On Sunday, Timberlake paid tribute to his children with a Father’s Day post on Instagram.
“My two greatest gifts,” Timberlake said of his and wife Jessica Biel’s two sons. “I learn more about myself every day because you all chose me to be your daddy.
