Joey Bada$$ recently got into an argument with a man at a clothing store and the incident was caught on camera.
Joey Bada$$ fight video circulated
A video of Monday’s (December 23) fight involving the Brooklyn rapper-actor surfaced on social media on Tuesday (December 24). In the video below, Joey and a man wearing a gray hoodie appear to be having a heated conversation next to a wall of hats. There is no sound in the video. However, Joey was very active going back and forth, pointing and moving his arms.
The camera then flips to another angle and the confrontation continues. Words eventually turned into deeds, as Joey pulled his opponent’s hoodie over his head and attacked him with wild uppercuts while the apparent owner of the establishment screamed in protest. The fight finally sinks to the ground before the film ends.
It’s unclear what sparked the fight. XXL has reached out to the Joey Bada$$ team for comment.
The skirmish occurred two days after Joey received a proclamation from New York City Mayor Eric Adams declaring December 20 “Joy Bada$$ Day.” The honor coincides with the second anniversary celebration of his ImpactMENtorship program. That same day, Joey joined the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development for their second annual Hip Hop Holiday Giveaway.
Joy recently completed his first artist residency at NYU Tisch’s Clive Davis School and was announced as the first Artist-Scholar-in-Residence at Columbia University’s Gordon Teachers College.
