Joe Budden praised Latto, placing Doja Cat at the top of his ranking of female rappers.

Joe Budden prefers Latto to Doja Cat

A new episode of The Joe Budden Podcast premiered on YouTube on Saturday (August 11), in which the rapper and his co-host debated Latto’s lyrical abilities compared to other women in hip-hop.

“First of all, Lato is one of the women I support,” Bardem said when discussing the top 2:11:03. “So I bought this without even listening to it. Like you guys, I haven’t heard the whole thing, but I listened to the sample and I heard what I needed to hear.”

Bardem went on to say, “Lato is sick,” before naming her in the “top three” of all female rappers currently.

“Nikki is number one to me, I probably have to have her [Latto] No. 2,” Baden said. “I think Lato will give Doja… [Doja] You can’t rap like that. She’s probably a bigger artist, a more well-rounded artist, but if I’m just talking about rap, if Lato walks into the studio with her notebook, Doja can pack it in. I love Cardi, but I mean there are rumors so I’m going to leave it alone. Lato was shown that it was her business. She’s really into hip-hop, she’s one of those people.

Budden then further promoted Latto’s album “Sugar Honey Iced Tea” which was released last Friday (August 9).

Joe Budden apologizes after criticizing Cardi B’s career

Joe Budden is no longer speaking out on Cardi B, most likely because of the Bronx rapper’s comments about Budden after the podcast host called her a “single artist” in July Launched a violent attack. Cardi spoke on X Spaces about Budden’s criticism of her oft-delayed second album, and said she also didn’t like Joe talking about her marriage on his podcast.

“Shut up, you don’t even know me,” Cady said. “Everything you do, whether it’s my personal life or my musical life, you’re always talking about it, but then you pretend to crave my album.”

She then recalled a time when she was working at Starlet and she gave Joe a lap dance while she was stripping.

“Dude, I gave you two lap dances in ‘F**kin’ Starlets’ and you were so high on Coke, n***a. I could smell the Coke on your breath smell.

However, the two settled their differences shortly after Cardi responded. Cardi jumped on X to tell her fans that Budden had apologized for his comments.
