Joe Budden expressed frustration over Drake and Rick Ross’ apparent feud, which came to light when the MMG mogul unfollowed 6 God on Instagram.
Drizzy and Rozay have been friends and collaborators for years, but things seemed to sour recently after the latter appeared on Future and Metro Boomin’s joint album We Don’t Trust You.
Speaking about the rumored feud on his podcast, Budden said: “I will say I’m angry – because I don’t have a dog at home.” [fight] — but Rick Ross’ de-tracking hurt my soul and spirit. That one hurts.
“I’m not a big fan of ‘What A Time to Be Alive,’ so who cares if Drake and Future don’t record together in my book. It’s going to be painful if Rick Ross and Drake don’t rap together anymore. This Be influential. Not anymore'[Aston Martin] music’? “
While it’s unclear why Rick Ross unfollowed Drake on Instagram, fans speculate it has something to do with a tweet from Metro Boomin urging people to “pick a side” after the release of “We Don’t Trust You.”
Rozai guest-starred in a verse on the album, which contained a number of shots aimed at Drake — most notably from longtime rival Kendrick Lamar on chart-topping single “Like That.” lens.
Days later, Ross’ ex-girlfriend Christina McKee got VIP treatment at one of Drake’s shows in what appeared to be a carefully orchestrated, personal comeback.
McGee, who split from Rose a few weeks ago, shared a photo online of an OVO-branded envelope containing tickets for her and her friends.
The “Hustlin'” rapper seemingly fought back by filming himself listening to Kendrick’s diss verse on “Like That” while driving one of his many supercars.
It’s unclear what led to their apparent falling out after a prolific working relationship more than a decade ago.
Drake and Rick Ross remained close even as Drizzy feuded with Meek Mill, who is signed to Rozai’s Maybach Music Group label and has a relationship with his label boss Long term friendship.
Neither Drake nor Rose directly addressed the speculation.
