After Joe Biden addressed the public on Monday (May 19), he battled an active prostate cancer that has spread to the bones.
The 82-year-old former president went to Instagram to thank supporters and reflect on the diagnosed emotional weight.
“Cancer moved us all,” he wrote. “Like many of you, Jill and I learned that we are the strongest in the broken place. Thank you for elevating us with love and support.”
The news posted a photo of Biden along with his wife Jill Biden and their cat.

Biden’s office issued a statement Sunday confirming the diagnosis and subsequently conducted a medical evaluation, which was caused by worsening urine symptoms.
“Last week, President Joe Biden discovered new findings of prostate nodules due to increased emergency symptoms,” the statement said.
“On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (grade 5), bone metastasis.”
Although cancer is aggressive, it is hormone-sensitive, which allows for treatment options that can help treat the disease, the statement added.
“The president and his family are working with doctors to review treatment options,” the statement said.
With unexpected support, Donald Trump released information about the truth society providing good wishes.
“Melania and Trump I regret to hear Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis,” Trump wrote. “We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and our family and wish Joe a quick and successful recovery.”
