Now, the rap chat rate buzzes with the East Coast buzz, let’s not forget the southern part of the south. South also has something to say, as 3K says, or more like Jid’s way of saying it himself. Jid started the album preparation with a music video of “wrk”.
The dystopian video takes us through the post-revelation world created by Jid, where we are fighting a resistance with other masked insurgents. The revolution is directed at a group of people in the Hazmats who seem to destroy all musical equipment in the fire (possibly symbolizing black culture). In all this madness, the temporary museum still exists, where like Jid’s album (like Jid’s) is displayed with images that evoke the American flag.
In fact, Gied himself had a torn flag around his waist when he launched his performance. The video cuts back and forth between story and performance, VHS overlay and editing can be edited from high-power Jid songs. He is here of course here to remind anyone who counts him in his years of conversation. What do you think?
