Jeezy accused his former manager of financial misconduct and received a harsh response, claiming he was rescued by financial destruction and is now facing a legal counterattack from Atlanta.
Solomon Fornie, the former manager of the rapper, fired with a counter-lawyer of a very different picture – he said he saved Giz’s career and personal finances when the hip-hop star “goes bankrupt and faces lawsuits.”
“I put my financial situation, credibility and reputation on the line to rebuild Jenkins’ career from scratch,” Forney said in the filing. “He went from foreclosure to Forbes, and now he wanted to pretend I was never there.”
Fornie claims he paid off Jeezy’s house, paid his salary for his business, and even borrowed $400,000 to keep the operation running – he said never paid back.
He also claimed to have worked for five years without a commission and survived the deal with Avion Tequila.
jeezy accuses manager of financial fraud
The counter-claim comes after Jeezy filed the lawsuit in February, accusing Fornie and business partner Eddie Bridgeman of poor financial management and hindering opportunities to obtain critical financial records. Jeezy claims the two reached an unauthorized deal and used his money for personal gain.
Jeezy and Fornie co-founded Agent No. 99 in 2015 to manage rappers’ revenue and expand his brand. Bridgeman’s Saisai Group was later brought in to handle financial oversight.
Jeezy now says he discovers that Bridgeman is not a licensed CPA, which raises concerns about the legitimacy of its economic practices.
The rapper also claimed that Forney and Bridgeman blocked his access to the financial records of the 99 agent, preventing him from meeting legal requirements under Georgia law to restore or dissolve the company.
However, Fornie said he played a role in negotiating jeezy’s major deals, including the New York Times bestseller, partnerships with Avion Tequila and Naud Cognac, the Fox Soul Talk Show, and a $15 million publication deal with Harbourview.
The legal battle is underway, and Jeezy seeks damages and has full access to financial records related to Agency 99.
