JAY-Z’s lawyer insists his client is innocent and believes the case will “collapse” as he claims evidence “disproves” the alleged victim’s account.
Hof’s attorney, Alex Spiro, held a press conference on Monday (December 16) after the accuser acknowledged the discrepancies in his story during a recent interview.
The Alabama woman named Jane Doe accused JAY-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs of assaulting her at an MTV VMA afterparty when she was 13 years old. The overall statement remains valid.
Spiro expects the case to be dismissed.
“Obviously, JAY-Z did not rape children,” he said at a press conference, according to ABC News. “If he didn’t, eventually this would all fall apart because it’s mathematically impossible for it to happen.”
Spiro continued, “You don’t even need witnesses. They don’t have any witnesses because it never happened, and you don’t need witnesses because it’s not the right time. There’s photographic evidence that it couldn’t have happened.
Spiro disputed Doe’s 37-minute schedule and pointed out other inconsistencies, including that photos from the night put JAY-Z and Diddy in another location. She also said she met a celebrity at the party, but the celebrity denied attending and was touring the Midwest at the time.
Additionally, Spiro highlighted further discrepancies, including Doe’s claim that her father picked her up after the alleged assault. In a recent interview, Doe’s father said he couldn’t remember such a ten-hour round trip.
“It’s not just that the story is a lie, but that it’s not true,” the lawyer continued. “This is obviously wrong. This never happened.

Spiro expressed Hof’s frustration that “someone was allowed to do this” and called the case “a travesty of the system.”
“He was frustrated because it was distracting from the real victims and preventing them from coming forward,” Spiro said. “It’s frustrating for him that his children and family have to deal with this.”
Spiro said that while JAY-Z knows Diddy professionally, he has “nothing to do” with Diddy or his case. “They’ve known each other professionally for many years,” he explains. “Like any profession, people get to know each other at music awards shows. They support each other.
