Jaÿ-Z spoke for the first time about the now-dismissed 2024 rape case against him in a new interview with GQ .
Hof spoke for the first time since issuing a statement on the legal issues two years ago. “The whole Busby experience…that thing just exhausted me. I was angry,” Hough said in a statement published on Tuesday (March 24). “I haven’t been this angry in a long time. Uncontrollable anger. You can’t impose that kind of anger on other people. Like you’d better be very sure of something… that’s how it has been in the past. Before you impose that on someone else, especially someone like me.”
The accuser claims that in 2000, when she was 13 years old, she was raped by Jaÿ-Z and Diddy at a house party after the MTV Video Music Awards in New York.
The lawsuit sparked a legal war between attorneys Tony Buzbee and Jaÿ-Z after it was filed. Hof sued Tony Buzbee for racketeering before filing a rape lawsuit last year. Buzbee accused Jaÿ of paying former clients to sue the lawyer.
Hof went on to explain that he had to tell his business partners that the lawsuit was coming.
“So I had partners, you know, I had big deals with, and I called the people at LVMH. ‘Hey, man, this is going to happen and I can’t get out of it. I can’t live with the settlement.’ It’s not in my DNA. First of all, I had to tell my wife that everything was coming back. Like, it wasn’t even a burden on me, I couldn’t, I couldn’t bear what.
Wearing makeup would kill me. Yes, it will be cheaper. Cheaper, faster and get on with your life. It’s like a will because people know me and are like, ‘I know who you are, but that’s impossible. Not only do we support you, what else do you need? “
The rapper admitted that he’s still trying to recover from the whole incident.
