Jake Paul and Gervonta “Tank” Davis will continue to move forward. When I saw Bob Sapp say it was cancelled, I knew something happened. This big Galoot put on a hat to fight Jake because the tank is 100 pounds lighter than Jake. By the way, when there was so much money on this line, American businessmen walked a path.
There won’t be Georgia. Then, it was reported that the battle was “cancelled”, but that was not the case. After the proposed Jake Paul exhibited scraps with Tank Davis, Georgia regulators were redistributed after they stretched the plug out of the end. The Georgia Sports and Entertainment Commission (GAEC) did not do that, and honestly, their reasons were very solid.
Jake Paul weighs about 199 pounds, while “Tank” Davis remains stable for about 135. GAEC Flat-Out refuses to approve this exemption of size mismatch. Like many boxing purists, they think it includes the integrity of the sport. Commissioner Rick Thompson also did not bite his tongue. He directly called boxing matches “grabbing money.” He said Georgia is not going to risk the safety of fighters, it is just to line up. I’m not angry about it. But you know that won’t stop this money train.
Jake Paul’s camp, MVP promotion saw the writing on the wall and pulled up their paperwork. Instead of losing the battle with the committee, they packed up the circus and found a new place. Ha ha! Now, the battle has officially moved to Miami, Florida. The sun, the palm trees, obviously there are some adjustments to the swinging room. Allhiphop may only take hikes to Miami.
Tagging your calendar is because the round is locked on November 14, 2025, and most of us don’t have to pay an extra penny. Netflix will stream worldwide. Yes, the platform that provides you with “Squid Games” and “Stranger Things” hosts the strangest conflict in recent memory. YouTube’s favorite question kids and boxing lightest bantamweight kids are about to continue using.
So, no, it has not been cancelled. Georgia calls it “unsafe money.” You must love capitalism. I know boxing fans aren’t happy, but I do want to know what other causal fans think.
