It hasn’t been the best year for J. Cole fans since he took his fair share of damage in the Kendrick and Drake beef, but they’ve been quietly enjoying the past few weeks. Good times on the rapper’s new album “Inevitable.” With “The Come Up” and “The Warm Up” finally hitting DSPs recently, tonight “Friday Night Lights” is finally available on streaming services.
At the time, J. Cole was looking for a single to release his debut album, but he felt his popularity was waning. He sacrificed a lot of the music he wanted to include in World of Cole: Side Stories to launch this work, arguably his best work.
