J Cole has been keeping a fairly low profile lately, but last weekend, some lucky young fans spotted him in New York City. They were selling candy, but the rapper decided to fill the day with generous gifts. He reportedly sent them $500. In a video of a healthy moment, he can also be seen staying behind to chat with the teenagers.
As expected, social media users have now taken to No Jumper’s comments section to praise the performer for his kind gesture. “J Cole always serves the people,” one Instagram user wrote. “J Cole running for president,” another joked. Of course, he’s no stranger to giving back to the community, as he does so regularly through his Dreamville Foundation. That being said, fans are still impressed with his commitment to donating whatever he can.

This isn’t the artist’s only positive fan interaction in recent months, either. Over the summer, he was seen numerous times relaxing on the beach, cruising on his bike, and more. This was true even after he stepped away from Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s explosive feud, which initially earned him a lot of clown ridicule. Today, most people agree that he made the right decision considering how things turned out.
As for what J Cole has been up to lately, the hitmaker has been involved in a variety of high-profile collaborations lately, including with Cash Cobain, Tems, and more. He’s even confirmed to appear on ASAP Rocky’s upcoming album Don’t Be D*mb, which will be released on August 30.
