Fans of Chance The Rapper believe he has turned life’s lemons into lemonade after news of his divorce broke after unreleased footage surfaced.
Chance The Rapper appears to be gearing up for a project called Star Line Gallery and has been sharing work-in-progress demos of work that may appear on the emotionally charged record. Chance appears to be resolving his differences with Kirsten Curley Bennett in the latest draft release. Joey Bada$$, who raps like his life depends on it, makes a cameo appearance and plays a silent hypeman in the accompanying video clip.
Lines that captured fans’ attention painted a chaotic family life, as Chance raps, “Sometimes I hold a grudge, sometimes I ghost her/Sometimes I just ghost her, sometimes I’m just supposed to.”
Continuing, Chance shared his belief that things can still be mended while loosely offering a bar that seemed to derail his relationship based on a viral video of him dancing wildly at a carnival last year.
“The crib feels like a shootout, but the stroller is the holster/We can make up old memes and mimosas/My mom knows I can’t make the bed, but I can lie in it/Whether it’s sandpaper, indictment, linen Cloth/Whether I’m alone or the Creole lady is spreading jam.
