Irv Gotti, co-founder of the murder of Inc. Records, reportedly died at the age of 54.
IRV Gotti dies
According to the Hollywood Reporter, famous record executive and producer IRV Gotti died on February 5. The cause of his death is currently unknown. TMZ reported that IRV died in New York City.
Earlier today, Allhiphop reported that IRV had a stroke a few days ago. This is his second stroke in the past seven months.
Irv Gotti signed DMX in 1997 on the A&R recordings of Def Jam Recordings. JA Rule and singer Ashanti. He has produced or co-produced classic tracks like Ja’s “Always Onsime” which includes Ashanti, Jay-Z’s “I Can Buy…Alicia Keys, etc.
The multi-platform sales Mavericks faced the Federal Reserve in 2003 when the headquarters of Inc. Records was raided. The investigation into the link between IRVs, his brothers Chris Gotti and poison kenneth “Supreme” McGriff led to an influx of authorities. IRV and Chris Gotti surrendered to the authorities in 2005 and were accused of money laundering and conspiracy to seek money laundering. After the trial that same year, they were acquitted.
Several hip-hop characters expressed their condolences after the news of IRV’s death. Ye reposted a screenshot of the Hollywood Reporter’s article announcing the death of the company’s leader on Instagram. In the title, he puts a dove emoji.
Producer Pete Rock admits that his friendship with IRV has deteriorated, but they share the same dream.
“I’m going to post you to you because we’re friends,” Pete and XXL posted Instagram in IRV’s Memoriam photo. “No matter where our friendship ends, we both have the same dreams and end up in the same place or place. My condolences to your family and children ❤que relaxed! 🙏🏰 @xxl.”
