Iggy Azalea needs to make it clear that she is not attacking R&B singer/songwriter SZA. Some social media users misinterpreted Azalea’s recent comments.
“Who is Solana…? I don’t know b####,” Azalea wrote on the X platform on Sunday (May 27). As of press time, the tweet has received more than 4,000 likes and more than 800,000 views.
Solána Rowe happens to be SZA’s real name, so Iggy Azalea felt the need to explain her X post. Someone mentioned SZA in a reply to Azalea’s tweet. The New Classic album creator responded: “Girl, I’m talking about crypto.”
Solana Labs, founded by Anatoly Yakovenko and Raj Gokal, launched a blockchain platform called Solana in 2020 using the SOL cryptocurrency. Solana is seen as an alternative to Ethereum.
After someone expressed that they thought the Solana (SZA)/Solana mashup was interesting, Iggy Azalea tweeted: “I like SZA too! Not going to let Stan Twitter bring her into crypto### hahaha lmaooo.
Iggy Azalea became a platinum recording artist with songs such as Charli XCX’s “Fancy” and Rita Ora’s “Black Widow.” In January 2024, Azalea told her fans that she currently has other interests besides music.
SZA released her second album “SOS” in December 2022. SOS also won the 66th Grammy Award for Best Progressive R&B Album.
