Ice Spice opens up the openness of creative doubts and public censorship, which attributes Taylor Swift to providing steady guidance at a critical moment in her fame.
In a recent interview with Nylon, the Bronx-born rapper criticized her songwriting and shared how Swift’s words helped her stand out in her career.
“The thing about Taylor is that she keeps it so real,” Bing Spice said. “I always think one of the biggest things Taylor said is ‘As long as you keep making music, everything will be fine.’”
After Swift directly contacted the ice spice, it started a mix. The track debuted on its first weekend with over 5 million streams, breaking previous records for both artists.
The success of the mix also cemented the friendship that began during the ice cream-like ice cream, which is adapting to sudden fame and financial success.
Ice Spice, 25, has scored four first 10 hits in the Billboard Hot 100 since she stood out in the breakout single “Munch (Feelin’U)” in August 2022.
Despite her praise, she continues to doubt her lyrical skills.
“People try to say I’m not lyrics, I just said ‘yes, they’re right. I’m not. But it’s just not true,” she said. “I really don’t want to prove that. But I think I’ll let you know I definitely know I’m [a lyricist]. The whole time. ”
The rapper said that Swift’s advice has been bothering her during moments of creative frustration.
“Whenever I feel suspicious or not so confident, whatever it is, there are barriers to writers, and things like this really stand out for me,” she said. “She told me years ago that it is still with me.”
