Ice Spice announced in an Instagram post on Saturday night that her next single, “Gimme a Light,” will be released on May 10. She did not provide any further details but provided a pre-saved link in her bio. She shared the news while captioning what appears to be a piece of cover art. Spice performed the unreleased song at the Coachella music festival earlier this month.
The post got fans excited in the comments section. “Probably already started,” one user commented. Another fan wrote: “This will change everything!!!” and many more left fire emojis. The single’s release comes as fans continue to await Spice’s debut studio album, Y2K, which she plans to drop this year.
