Ice Cube was a trending topic on Twitter (X) on Saturday (October 26). The West Coast gangster rap pioneer was a special guest at Game 2 of the 2024 World Series at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

Shortly before his beloved hometown team took on the New York Yankees, Cooper thrilled the crowd wearing a blue Dodgers hat, jersey, jacket and matching Nike shoes. After taking the field, he shouted his signature catchphrase, “yay-uh-yay,” before launching into a performance of Westside Connection’s 1996 single “Bow Down,” his song dedicated to the Yankees.
“The world is mine, come back quickly,” he said. “Don’t kid me about my stack, the meter is full / About to drop the bomb, I’m the boss ###########” / Big fish in a small pond / Now it’s the FBI trying to put them The books were thrown to the liars/But I shook their worms and they hooked/The guppies held their breath and they missed me when I was drunk.
Cube modified the lyrics slightly, “Bow down to a team greater than you, when you come to our town, you march west,” while the Yankees looked on. Cooper then electrified the crowd with a live performance of “It Was A Good Day.” He finally added, “Baby, it’s Dodgers baseball game time!” before the microphone dropped into the dirt.

The 2024 World Series is off to an exciting start at Dodger Stadium. The game brought together the top seeds from both leagues, with each team finishing the regular season with dominant performances. The Dodgers played Games 1 and 2 at home with a roster that included stars such as Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman and Sho Ohtani. On the Yankees side, there are heavyweights such as Aaron Judge and Juan Soto, which is also a strong matchup.
The Dodgers sealed the win in Game 1, finishing 6-3 with Freddie Freeman’s overtime grand slam. Although Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton came out strong early, hitting a two-run homer to secure the initial lead, the Dodgers responded steadily.
Ohtani provided a clutch moment, with Mookie Betts’ sacrifice fly tying the game, which created a tight situation late in the game. Finally, with two outs in the bottom of the tenth inning, Freeman’s powerful dunk electrified the Dodger Stadium crowd, sealing the victory and setting the tone for the remainder of the series. Needless to say, it was a great day in Los Angeles
