As 2024 draws to a close, new hip-hop albums keep popping up. This week, West Coast GOAT releases his first solo album since 2018, the Memphis rapper shows off his proven chops on his latest project, Detroit’s XXL Freshman releases the third volume in his popular mixtape series, and more.

Ice Cube returns with Man Down album

Ice Cube adds to his musical legacy on new album Man Down. After a six-year hiatus, Cube returns with a new LP containing 19 songs. The former NWA rapper features contemporaries Snoop Dogg, E-40, Too Short, Kurupt and more on his comeback album, which features the single “Ego Maniacs” featuring Killer Mike and Busta Rhymes. “When you think Ice Cube, you think West Coast flavor – Man Down’s songs have that same OG vibe,” Cube recently commented on the album on Instagram.

Finesse2tymes Reveals The Art of War Album

Finesse2tymes is back in the field after releasing no new projects in 2023. The two albums include a total of 22 songs, including Rick Ross, Kodak Black, NLE Choppa, Lul Tyler, etc. “I’ve been waiting a year and a half to bring you The Art of War,” Finesse recently shared on social media. “90% of this was written when I was locked up. The scary thing is that everything I wrote became true. Envy, jealousy and hatred are more treacherous than I imagined.”

Skilla Baby sells Cracked Music 3 mixtape

Skilla Baby adds to his 2024 set with the release of the third in his Crack Music mixtape series. The Detroit rapper dropped The Coldest and The Coldest deluxe albums earlier this year and keeps up the momentum with 16-track follow-up Crack Music 3, which features Tee Grizzley, XXL Freshmen Hunxho, 4batz Guest appearances by others.
