Halle Bailey recently received a restraining order that has been imposed on rapper/streaming DDG, considering her safety and well-being. The relationship between the two is ugly and is the parents of a one-year-old.
Bailey revealed that their relationship turned sour to the extent of physical violence in January and there were multiple instances of violence. Apparently, the first instance of violence occurred when the two men debated visiting and their arrangements (related to their son) – which Bailey wanted to raise DDG’s concerns.
The details of the allegations are violent – DDG’s alleged purpose is to stop Bailey from bringing her son into the car as the argument escalates. Screaming at Bailey, asking her to get out of “his car” and calling her a B-word, DDG continued to slam Bailey’s face into the steering wheel. The actor suffered a lot of damage and even stabbed a tooth.
After the first incident, Bailey reported two more incidents – once in March, and the most recent one was this weekend. Apparently, DDG was on vacation with Bailey with rapper and singer Brent Faiyaz, and Bailey claimed to have been on a day trip to her mother with her son and mother.
“I realized that there was no comfort in Daryl,” Bailey said in a statement attached to the filing obtained by USA Today. “I can’t allow this abuse anymore. I can’t continue to live like this. I never know when he asked our son to be under the care of his mother and whether I would be threatened and abused by him.”
In addition to the restriction order, Bailey also applied for a stop and cessation to prevent DDG from posting information about his son Halo via social media. Rappers, especially in the past, released a song called “Don’t Take My Son” and then, it might not be surprising if DDG put things online. Bailey also asked the judge to be able to bring her son to Italy where she had a shooting commitment and is pushing for a more permanent restraining order. The court hearing is scheduled to be held on June 4, 2025.
