Doja Cat’s X (formerly Twitter) account has been hacked, and the perpetrators have partially set up her site to diss Iggy Azalea.
Doja Cat’s X account was hacked
On Monday (July 8), the Cali artist’s X account began posting strange posts, even for Doja Cat standards. What caught people’s attention was a dig at Iggy in a post promoting an Iggy meme coin.
“Shut up, asshole,” the Doja hacker responded to Iggy’s ad.
They added in a more direct tweet, “Fuck that stupid bastard @IGGYAZALEA, buy USD DOJA.”
Iggy and Doja respond to hacker attack
After some time, people began to realize that the tweets were the work of a hacker, including Iggy, who tweeted that she knew the real Doha Cat wouldn’t have posted these posts.
“Hackers on celebrity girl accounts are attacking me again because I’m their crush but they don’t take into account that I might actually interact with people in real life which is not realistic lol,” Rhymes Australia posted . She added in a follow-up post: “Get rude if you want but I was cool with that girl so you all screwed with that Twitter hack.”
Hacker responded to Iggy’s post. “You forgot to @shush me,” one reply read.
Doja Cat also reacted to her account being taken over.
“My Twitter was hacked and these messages were not from me,” she confirmed on Instagram Stories.
It’s not uncommon for rappers to claim they’ve been hacked when in fact they’ve been. Last month, 50 Cent claimed hackers made $300 million after taking over his social media accounts and promoting cryptocurrencies.
