Gunnar has defended Flo Miley after she was forced to cancel her first show early in her tour after fans kept throwing things at her.
Gunnar defends Flo Miley after she ends show early
Gunna begins his bittersweet journey on Saturday (May 4) in Columbus, Ohio. The tour features Flo Milli as the opening act. Shortly after Flo took the stage, videos surfaced on social media showing her ending her show early as fans threw objects at her on stage.
“When I caught you… I swear to God,” she said, before dropping the microphone and walking off the stage.
While the rest of the night went as planned, Gunnar hopped on X (formerly Twitter) to defend Flo on Sunday (May 5). He condemned the abuse meted out to her by fans and said he would not allow it to continue.
“Disrespect of any kind @_FloMilli will not be tolerated on tour,” Gunna wrote below. “Family Ties.”
Flo Milley then retweeted Gunna’s reply and wrote: “My old man Bruda.”

Ari Lennox, who experienced similar treatment from fans, speaks out in support of Flo Milli
Dreamville Records artist and singer Ari Lennox defended Flo Milli after Air saw footage of her being abused by fans. Ari took to her Instagram Stories on Sunday (May 5) in two posts (shown below) to share a similar experience she suffered from toxic fans while opening for Rod Wave in October.
“Flo Mealy, I’m so sorry this happened to you,” she wrote. “You are a beautiful and talented woman. Some people are so cruel.”
Lennox later criticized Rodeboff’s “evil” and “demonic” fans for throwing objects at her during multiple opening shows on Rod’s nostalgia tour.
“Maybe I could have gotten over some of Rodpov’s evil, racist and diabolical fans, but what’s even worse is that Rod didn’t defend me either privately or publicly,” Ali said.
Rico Nasty had a similar experience in 2021 when he opened for Playboi Carti’s King Vamp tour. A sign of unity to let his fans know he supports Rico. Why have black female artists been targeted by these toxic fan bases in recent years? More importantly, why is it that Gunnar seems to be the only one standing up to defend his opening act? No matter who is participating in a show or tour, fans should respect all artists involved.
