Gucci Mane shared a post on Instagram on Friday (October 18) giving an update on the status of his record label. Apparently, the turmoil in the music industry led Guwop to take drastic measures, which included dropping most of his artists.
“I’m looking at my [profit and loss statement]As a businessman, I think I’m going to have to release pretty much every artist except Pooh Shiesty and Fogiano,” Gucci said in the video (shown below). “It was a decision I didn’t want to make. That being said, Bic Fizzle, BigWalkDog, Brezden, HotBoy West, Kato2X, Li Rye, Lil Zay, Mac Critter, FTO Sett, and TLE Cinco all do not have tag homes right now.
Interestingly, both of the rappers Guwop decided to keep are in prison. In April 2022, Pooh Shiesty was sentenced to more than five years in prison after pleading guilty to firearms conspiracy charges. The following month, Fuggiano was sentenced to five years in prison after he took off his ankle monitor while on bail on a firearms charge and went on the run.
