Gucci Mane has a special announcement to make.
The veteran Atlanta rapper took to Instagram to tell the world that he was dropping all artists on his 1017 label except Pooh Shiesty and Fogiano. Gucci said he made the decision after reviewing the brand’s revenue report yesterday. How much does each artist earn and return.
The past few years have been difficult for artists working at the Gucci brand, and some have even passed away. Texas artist Enchanting died in June this year; Big Scar passed away in December 2022 from a drug overdose at the age of 22; Hotboy Wes was arrested in January 2024 on multiple felonies and sentenced to 15 years in prison; Roboy in March 2022 Hoodrich Pablo Juan was sentenced to 15 years in prison in 2022 after being arrested in Florida on multiple charges, including burglary and carrying a concealed weapon.
