The Marathon Clothing brand recently dropped a bombshell on Instagram, hinting that it would be opening a burger joint to carry on the indomitable legacy of the late Los Angeles rapper Nipsey Hussle.
In two posts shared on the clothing brand’s official Instagram account, digital renderings of the store and branded packaging product designs were said to hint that Marathon Burger’s first location will open “soon.”
In an Instagram post shared by AllHipHop reporting news of the grand opening, Maybach Music Group mogul and frequent Nipsey collaborator Rick Ross added a fire emoji in the comments section to share his thoughts on the culinary hub of excitement.

Although details remain scarce, speculation is rampant about the exact location of the highly anticipated restaurant. However, it is worth noting that a Compton restaurant that had been operating for decades, Marathon Burger, located in the 600 block of Compton Avenue, closed without warning nearly two years ago. Many believe Marathon Burger will find its home in the heart of South Central Los Angeles, possibly in the recently renovated “Nipsey Hussle Plaza” on Crenshaw Boulevard.
The square, now an important landmark, was purchased by Nipsey Hussle’s family and underwent extensive renovations in honor of the late rapper. Fans can’t help but imagine Marathon Burger sitting in this historic location, serving delicious food while paying tribute to Nipsey Hussle’s lasting impact on the community. It’s a tribute to Nipsey, who once said, “It’s about giving back to the people and the community that raised you.”
