Funkmaster Flex denied that he was in charge of former colleague DJ Enuff’s departure from HOT 97.
Enuff worked for nearly 30 years in the fiery 97 years until the station announced a reorganization of the schedule and personnel, allowing veterans to let go and the bending shifted to an earlier time.
In an interview TMZEnuff firmly blames Flex’s departure: “I can’t prove it, but in my heart, that’s what I feel is happening.”
Flex denied that this is the case on his show: “TMZ can never turn me around, I love him dead. I will never do anything, not just my brother. I won’t have anything to do with people who are fired or no longer here. You know why? I’m too hot.” I’m too hot. ”
He added: “The guy who steals you, man, is all in that video on your farewell. When you’re with tmz, sneaking around the guys you’re standing outside. They’re standing with you, my brother. You go back to that video and you’re really looking at their faces.”
Flex will also praise DJ Enuff for its influence on music: “He is the promoter of putting boundaries around Spanish clubs. There wouldn’t be a hip-hop party in Spain without DJ Enuff. He is the promoter of it. He is the founder of two or three bookings a night, where, there, somewhere.
When Flex announced a big change in his long-term broadcast home, many fans thought he was leaving Hot 97.
Flex wrote on X: “This Monday Labor Day September 1 is my last show on Hot97, at 7pm! Everything is over! The era that I really like is over!”
He added: “I love it all so much! I’m going to make my last show a great show! All those who support me over the years!”
It was later revealed that Flex only switched time slots at the station, and was in the air from 5 pm to 7 pm after Labor Day.
