Diddy is currently being held in one of the most dangerous and “scary” detention centers in the United States. After being denied his first bail offer — which included selling his and his mother’s home in Miami and being under constant surveillance — he was allowed into MDC in Brooklyn. The Capital Detention Center is constantly dealing with a number of problems, some of which are serious. According to Yahoo! These include “rampant violence, horrific conditions, severe staffing shortages and widespread smuggling of drugs and other contraband, some facilitated by employees,” the news said. Meanwhile, they said they were placed on near-permanent lockdown and prohibited from leaving their cells to visit, make phone calls, shower or exercise.
Furthermore, “permanent lockdowns” are common, and leaving the cell is not allowed for “visits, phone calls, showers or exercise.” However, what is most distressing is the number of suicides and general deaths in MDC. Former detention center warden Cameron Lindsay told TMZ that all of the former, but especially the latter, is something Dad should be extremely wary of. Lindsay said other inmates view killing certain criminals as a “badge of honor.” The music mogul fits that mold not only because of his stature but also because of the bruising accusations.

That’s why Diddy is currently housed in a special housing unit at the MDC. The unit keeps people like Dee Dee away from the average inmate population. Lindsay also revealed that he won’t have much access overall. That means one hour of entertainment, three shows per week, three 1,800-calorie meals of varying freshness, and more. Additionally, family and friends will have less time to see Diddy than Diddy’s legal team. There is also a concession stand offering items such as food, clothing and some technology. Overall, living conditions for the embattled star are going to be tough, to say the least.
