Finesse2tymes is back in federal detention.
The Memphis rapper on Friday (May 2) violated the conditions for his supervised release on Friday (May 2) for prosecutors’ beliefs. Additionally, they said he tested positive for marijuana, but had two drug tests in 2022 and the other was a drug test in 2024.
Finesse2tymes admits he is in jail in an Instagram story post and explains that it has something to do with his former protégé FNG King. He wrote: “Damn it’s crazy. My po just called and said they violated my probation on TS. The witty king Finna got out.”

In October 2023, the King’s female guardian told police officer Finesse2tymes faced her outside a smoke shop in Texas and asked for a private conversation with the 12-year-old. Instead, King ran around the store and reportedly said: “They tried to send me back to Memphis!”
At that time, Finesse2tymes was said to have made a gesture to shooting someone (presumably a woman). She said she saw the outline of the gun and told her: “You’re going to die today.” His attorney Carl A. Moore later told TMZ that he “had not threatened the complainant in any way. We are confident that once Texas applies applicable laws to the facts, we will settle the issue fairly.”
Finesse2tymes (real name is Ricky Hampton), known for Likd “Back End”, “Get evel” and “Goin’Traight In in In In In In”. Finesse2tymes began to attract a lot of attention in the late 2010s, especially after the release of the 2019 mixtape and process while sentenced to jail.
After being released from prison in early 2022, Finesse2tymes quickly became famous, releasing popular singles and his album 90 days, which has collaborated with artists such as Moneybagg Yo, Gucci Mane, Lil Baby and Producter Baby and Producore Tay Keith. He is affiliated with the major record label and signed with Moneybagg Yo’s bread gang in September 2022, and later a joint venture with J Prince Jr.’s Mob Ties and Atlantic Records.
Needless to say, his career was damaged by legal issues. He was sentenced to five years in prison in 2018 on weapons charges, although no death occurred after a nightclub shooting in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was released in 2022 but has since faced other legal challenges, including theft in connection with a rental car in Houston, and is now suspected of probation.
