Finesse2tymes cited a lack of evidence on the grounds that prosecutors have left alleged threats related to alleged threats to the guardian of 12-year-old hip-hop artist FNG King.
The Memphis rapper has been facing charges, showing off his guns in a fierce contact with the guardian of the child rapper earlier this year. The incident reportedly violated the supervision clause he released from his former federal weapons conviction.
But on May 9, prosecutors filed a motion to dismiss the case, admitting they could not prove the claims in reasonable doubt. The judge signed the firing.
The case stems from a long and stunning dispute between Finesse2tymes and Fng King, a viral child performer who once had close ties to the rapper’s circle and was considered his Godson.
Their relationship has deteriorated over the past year, with both parties making transaction allegations online and in the media. At the center of the now forgotten case is the alleged confrontation, in which Finesse2tymes is accused of threatening the boy’s guardian with a gun.
The woman later told authorities that she was worried about her life and believed he would follow. The incident led to Hampton’s arrest and returned to federal custody on May 2.
In addition to alleged threats, Finesse2tymes has been charged with violating his release clause, with the two drug tests (one in 2022 and the other in 2024) having a physical dispute with his girlfriend’s mother.
Finesse2tymes has been under federal supervision since July 2022, after having previously held three years in prison for illegal guns for more than three years.
His past legal troubles included robbery in Tennessee and shooting at Power Ultra Lounge in Little Rock, Arkansas, where 28 people were shot.
Despite the terrorist threat case being rejected, the rapper was detained in federal custody as of press time, awaiting further review of his oversight violations.
