André 3000 has released a new film to accompany his New Blue Sun album – nearly a year after its release.
The wandering artist premiered Listen to the Sun on Thursday (August 29), which he describes as an “intimate” film.
“Listen to the Sun” airs at 88 minutes, which is the same length as “The New Blue Sun” and finds 3 Stacks meditating quietly in a blue room, lighting candles and enjoying a zen state of mind.

The ambient instrumental project, which partly revolves around André 3000’s flute playing, divided fans over its lack of rap after its release last November.
LL COOL J is one of those disappointed with the project, having shared his brutally honest thoughts on LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s The Shop earlier this year.

The New York native also urged 3 Stacks to return to rap, saying: “I want to hear him collaborate with Big Boi, I want them to make an OutKast [album] or [for him] Make a solo album. Every time he sings a poem, it’s enough to make an album! He is very talented. So it’s like, “Come on, B. Not the flute.” This guy needs to know the truth.
When André 3000 was asked about LL’s criticism during the YouTube series, he responded with caution and politeness.
“To me, I feel like if it’s on you – because I have friends my age and older who are still rapping – so if it’s on you, you should rap until you die. You should keep performing until you die. ,” he said.
