Lato and Ice Spice are not friends. The two men have been subconsciously attacking each other for nearly two years. No one is naming names, but the backup’s performance is consistent and obvious. Latto started it all in 2023 with the song “Fine As Can Be.” The feud appears to have died down in recent months with the release of their two debut studio albums. Maybe both moved on to more important things. Lato’s latest guest verse is making fans think twice.
Latto scored an unforgettable sixteen on GloRilla’s new song “PROCEDURE”. The song is one of the clear highlights of Glo’s new album. However, the reason the song gained attention wasn’t because of its catchy beat or bouncy chorus. Rather, it’s because fans believe Lato reignited her feud with Bing Spice with a simple bar. “But b**ches ain’t got nothing to steal, like, f*ck I wanna get it from you,” she raps. “Talk about taking the position, Caressa, please, yes (something).” Again, no mention of Ice Spice’s name. However, mentioning that there is no style worth imitating feels clearly aimed at Spice. The same goes for “grab-and-go” bars.
Ice Spice claims beef latte is sunny side up
What’s interesting about this particular diss location is that it would drag GloRilla into trouble if it were one. Glo did a good job of staying away from the drama, with her only interaction with Spice being a comedic exchange she had with Lil Duvall on social media. Duvall joked that Ice Spice became as big as Gloria when she started exercising. GloRilla didn’t like the comparison and shot back: “Wym, because I’m thick.”
Meanwhile, Ice Spice claims she doesn’t understand what Lato’s problem is. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, she was asked about beef. In short, she has no idea what started it all. “I feel like if we had ever talked, I would have asked her, ‘What’s the problem?’ and it would have been like a blank stare,” she asserts. “There’s really no problem with that. Especially for me.” Whether or not Ice Spice has a point, Lato doesn’t seem to stop.
