Ludacris and MAGA. How did we add this to the 2026 bingo card?
The Atlanta superstar’s name appears on a list of performers tied to what’s billed as the largest MAGA celebration ever to mark the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America.
Yes, that Ludacris. The man who gave us timeless records, the glamor of The Fast and the Furious, decades of laughs and lyrical dominance… now finds himself facing a political climate that has scorched several careers.
Ludacris has never been more openly political. He mostly stays in his rare hip-hop style, letting the music and movies speak for him. That’s why this one feels different.
We’ve already seen the ending of this movie. Also included on the bill is Nelly, who gained attention last year for performing at an event near Trump. Rick Ross and Snoop Dogg faced the same backlash for the same reason. Culture reacts whether it’s fair or not. The difference is that Ludacris largely avoids these conversations entirely. He must have stopped at the wrong time.
Let’s be honest. The situation is tense now. The words are wild! Luda has kind of gotten into his rap bag. We all welcome him back and then he headlines Kid Rock? They put him and Nelly at the bottom. shame.
To be clear, no one knows the terms, context, or even whether this list is final. This may be a bug. This may be premature. Heck, that’s probably something that will never happen. People don’t play around with the name Donald Trump.
Ludacris is too important to hip-hop to get caught up in anything that detracts from his legacy. We hope this is all a big misunderstanding.
