Ludacris will not appear at the rock country concert, although online listings circulating in recent days suggest otherwise.
Ludacris’ manager Chaka Zulu confirmed to AllHipHop that the rapper was not involved in the event. “We were not on that show,” Zulu said in an exclusive interview with AllHipHop.
The clarification comes after widespread speculation on social media after a screenshot of the rock-country lineup appeared to include the names of Ludacris and Nelly. Since the artist has yet to publicly align himself with political events, the listing sparked backlash and confusion from fans. He also made no statement regarding the concert.
Rock The Country is not a politically neutral festival, and several of the artists on the list have long-standing and documented ties to MAGA culture and ultra-conservative politics.
The event featured Kid Rock, who has publicly supported Donald Trump through rally performances, public appearances and outspoken comments over the years. Jason Aldean has performed at numerous Trump-related and pro-MAGA events and, while eschewing formal recognition, is widely considered MAGA-adjacent in the country music world. Hank Williams Jr. has a long history of conservative rhetoric in public and public support for Trump-era politics, making his stance clear.
Brantley Gilbert and others have been appearing at conservative-leaning festivals and expressing views closely aligned with MAGA culture. Collectively, these artists define the political tone of Rock The Country, which is why any mistaken inclusion of a hip-hop artist like Luda will immediately raise red flags and backlash.
No further details were provided on how the error occurred or when the listing would be corrected.
An industry source noted that preliminary or inaccurate performer lists occasionally appear online before they are finalized, especially for larger events.
Representatives for Rock The Country have not publicly responded to requests for comment about the erroneous listing.
Ludacris is a Grammy Award-winning rapper and veteran actor who has remained active in the music industry in recent years while continuing his long-running role in the Fast and Furious film franchise.
ChakaZulu’s confirmation ends speculation.
