The person who broke into Eminem’s house twice was convicted after yesterday’s jury trial.
Eminem’s stalker feels intimate
On Wednesday, May 7, a jury in McMcum County, Michigan found Matthew Hughes, 32, guilty of a first-degree family invasion and severe stalking after he broke into his home in Clinton Township, Michigan, Macomb Daily Reports, Macomb Daily in August. A 90-minute deliberation was conducted after a two-day trial, during which time the judgment was examined after 90-minute deliberation.
Last August, Hughes was discovered by his security team on Eminem’s property. Hughes entered an unlocked door and stole a bicycle, fleeing when he realized he was found. He was arrested four days later when an Eminem employee saw him at nearby Walmart. Hughes will be sentenced on June 17. He faces years in prison.

Matthew Hughes’s previous Eminem incident
This is the second time Hughes has been convicted of breaking into Shady’s mat. In 2021, he pleaded guilty for breaking windows into a second-degree house invasion in the Detroit rapper’s home. In that incident, Hughes faced Eminem, threatened to kill him, and was then subdued by a rapper until police arrived. Hughes was sentenced to five years of probation and time.
Police said it was short-lived, and that wasn’t the first time Hughes has shown a similar behavior to Stan to a rap star. In 2019, Hughes was booked for breaking in after entering two properties looking for EM. A person was previously owned by a rapper.
