Eminem has revealed the meaning of his last cryptic social media post – the first single from his upcoming album The Death of Slim Shady will be released this week. Slim Shady and magician David Blaine announced the news via video on Tuesday night (May 28), which included a FaceTime call between the two celebrities.
In the clip, Eminem asks Bryan to do him a favor: “How far can we go with this magic? Can we do a stunt or something?” Bryan replies: “Like this?” ” Then took a bite from the glass. Shady retorted: “For my last resort, I’ll make my career disappear. Brian asked in confusion: “Wait, what?” “
From there, Eminem revealed the single’s title and release date, “Houdini.” May 31, 2024.

Eminem announced the death of “Slim Shady” in April, shortly after Eminem hosted the 2024 NFL Draft in his hometown of Detroit. The announcement was made via the NFR podcast, which included a trailer for the project starring 50 Cent. The concept revolves around the investigation into the murder of Eminem’s longtime alter ego Slim Shady. The title is simple: “Eminem – The Death of Slim Shady. New record. Summer 2024.”
“The antihero known as Slim Shady, despite his complex and often criticized, tongue-twisting rhymes, has no shortage of enemies,” the reporter said in the film. “Equally crude lyrics and controversial The antics may have ultimately led to his death. Join me as I relive the events leading up to Slim Shady’s murder.
50 Cent said, “He’s not a friend, he’s a psychopath.”
The project is expected to arrive sometime this summer. Until then, check out the announcement above.
It looks like Eminem fans will have something to look forward to on May 31st. A cryptic tweet.
The post included a photo of the text message, with a disappearing effect showing the text: “…and my last resort!” The date on the message was May 31, 2024 at 12 noon (approximately Eastern Time).
Considering it’s Friday, it’s not hard to come up with his advice. After all, he did say the album would be available this summer, not spring. Now, Staines is eagerly anticipating the arrival of the first single from the album on that day.

Eminem also placed an ad in the Detroit Free Press that doubled as a false obituary for his longtime alter ego. It reads in part: “Audiences were quickly exposed to the muse/rapper’s extreme darkness as he led millions of fans down a path that glorified an apparently nihilistic worldview.
“Ultimately, what looked like the tools he wielded became calling cards, defining an existence that could only end abruptly and horribly. His complex and painful life was over, and his legacy is no greater than the character left behind. The way of the world is closer to a solution.
The latest Twitter (X) post comes after the wedding of Eminem’s daughter Hailie Jade Scott. The 28-year-old podcaster married Evan McClintock in a lavish ceremony over the weekend at Greencrest Manor in Battle Creek, Michigan. Photos of Eminem dancing with Scott were posted online.
As for “The Death of Slim Shady,” the project is the follow-up to 2020’s “Music to Be Murdered By” (Shady Records, Aftermath Entertainment, Interscope Records).
