In a wild scene that even Eddie Murphy couldn’t write, the comedy legend shares one of his life’s biggest regrets – turning down an invitation to a threesome after an infamous late-night party.
The 63-year-old has spent decades entertaining audiences since starting his career on Saturday Night Live in 1980, but he revealed he missed out on meeting famed actor Yul Bollen An unforgettable experience spent by Yul Brynner and his wife.
Eddie Murphy, known for his iconic roles in Beverly Hills Cop, The Nutty Professor and voicing Donkey in the Shrek movies, told the Mirror the story.
“I met Yul Brynner at Studio 54,” he said. “Years later I realized he was trying to pick me up, he was with his wife and I was 21.”
The encounter left a lasting impression on Murphy.
“Yul said, ‘Do you want to come back to the party with me and my wife?’ I was like, ‘What? Are we just going to party here? And I didn’t go. I realized years later that I was Thinking, ‘Oh, he meant ‘come to the party’, but now I wish I’d gone.
Recalling the missed date, Murphy added, “It would have been nice if I could have gone and had a threesome with him and his wife.”
The late Yul Brynner, the Oscar-winning actor for “The King and I,” died in 1985 at the age of 65.
His first marriage was to actress Virginia Gilmore from 1944 to 1960.
He subsequently married model Doris Kleiner in 1960, their marriage lasting until 1967, and then French socialite Jacqueline Thion de Jacqueline Thion de la Chaume is married.
Brynner married ballet dancer Kathy Lee, who survives him.
