Ebro Darden is involved in the recent lawsuit against Jay-Z, with one of the alleged victims amending an earlier lawsuit against Diddy and now naming him as the Roc Nation founder. She accused the pair of raping her at an after-party for the 2000 MTV VMAs when she was just 13 years old. Speaking about the situation on Monday, Ebro complained about how excited users on social media were to tear Jay-Z apart.
“My biggest problem is that sexual assault has become a clown show,” he said. “I don’t know why so many people want to see Jay-Z ripped apart. It’s the nature of our culture and we don’t want to look at it. It’s disgusting. People love tearing down successful people. Maybe you don’t like all of his business dealings. Some of them. People are upset about their lives and they see others who seem to be doing great in their lives but they don’t want to see that… I would say it’s so unsettling that I still have to put in the work in all of this.

Ebro is not the first person to discuss the situation since the news broke on Sunday. On the latest episode of The Breakfast Club, Charlamagne Tha God said the alleged victim was likely looking for a paycheck. “You hear the initial charges, but you don’t see when the case is dropped,” he said. “You don’t see when a case is actually dismissed. I’m telling you, all of this is a scam. It’s just total stupidity.”

Meek Mill also defended Jay in a post on X (formerly Twitter). He complained about social media algorithms spreading false accusations. Both Jay-Z and Diddy have denied the accusations. Check out Ebro Darden and Peter Rosenberg’s full comments on the latest lawsuit below.
