Florida authorities arrested three more suspects on first-degree murder charges, a day after a fourth man wanted in connection with the murder of Giulio Forio was arrested.
On Tuesday morning (July 30), police announced the arrest of a man allegedly responsible for pulling the trigger in last month’s shooting of a Jacksonville rapper. Rashad Murphy was arrested after a SWAT team confronted him overnight at an apartment complex, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
In a video shared by authorities, officers can be heard urging Murphy to surrender. According to a statement from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, multiple units spent “several hours” negotiating with Murphy to leave the complex. When their attempt failed, “SWAT officers used force” to drive him out.
Law enforcement officers evacuated nearby residents and later saw thick smoke billowing into the building’s windows. “Murphy surrendered just after midnight,” JSO confirmed.
Overnight, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Service tracked 30-year-old Rashad Murphy to an apartment complex off Collins Road.
He was wanted in connection with the shooting death of Charles Jones, also known as Giulio Forio, last month in Tampa.

Foolio was involved in a fatal shooting at the Holiday Inn in Tampa on June 23, in which three other people were injured.
Detectives are still trying to track down Davion Murphy, who they suspect fired the gun in Forio’s murder. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. Jacksonville Sheriff TK Waters urged Murphy to surrender to Jacksonville Sheriff’s Headquarters.
“Turn yourself in,” Waters told “WJXT.” “That way we can do it smoothly and without any issues.”
Investigators say all five suspects are linked to ATK and the 1200 gang. They face life in prison for their role in Forio’s murder.
