Drake sneaks into beef, betrayal and backstab in his new track, “What am I missing?” A surprise release on July 4.
Drake’s new song is a message for those who open him
While the birthday of the United States was celebrated on Friday night (July 4) during a hot summer celebration, Drake brought a new song and found that the fake friend he was talking to turned to him. “What am I missing?” produced by London Cyr, O Lil Angel, DJ Lewis, Tay Keith, Oz, FNZ, Elyas, Gyz and Patron, as part of the livestream, this is the pathway that Toronto MC prefers these days. The song is likely to be the first single on his upcoming album, which is probably the title of Iceman.
In the video titled Iceman Episode 1, Drake appears in the Iceman Warehouse (his actual ice provider in the city of Toronto), playing the role of an employee (no wheelchair Jimmy) who checks the ice and takes a lunch in the lounge. He ended up watching his video “What did you miss?” on TV. Part of the music video shows him surrounded by guns, referring to the National Geographic Photographer’s “Ameriguns” photo series Gabriele Galimberti.
What are the outstanding lyrics from Drake’s What I Miss?
Some of the outstanding lines on the track include facing loyalty issues and intermittent bonds:
“If you love me, I won’t give me af **k, if you like me, I won’t give me/Askin “I,” feels? ‘/ Can’t say it doesn’t surprise me / Last time I looked at my rights you ni ** like standing next to me / I like someone who would hang around p ** sies? let’s go/What am I missing? ”
“You turned on these guys and supported a hater, let’s go /ni **’s backpack? It’s tbd/I look at this sh*t, like this week it might fall down and then I’m going to get up next week.” Could this be Drake’s “like this” to support Kendrick Lamar’s future last year?
“Yes, ni ** was slapped in the face on some TLC sh*t, on the dead/some tlc sh*t’ because my ni **a, your g” needs a cold ice pack to the left eye.” People think he’s referring to Rick Ross being slapped in the face at a show in Canada last July. The video shows a fight, but Ross denied that he was touched.
“I saw brothers go out with them, but they’ve been a cycling gang since the headlines. Both of them were in the pop show by Kendrick Lamar last year. LeBron and Drake were longtime friends, and Derozan played for Drake’s Derake Raptors.
“What am I missing? / When I look at all you guys and cook with all you guys, do you make verses and book them all? / Make sure the wires are hit, man, what am I missing? / When you’re all watching my h*es/word for all the shows / You always feel like this show / You always feel like this, what am I thinking about, what am I missing?”
He ended the live streaming of driving around Toronto in the company van and played some music, probably on his upcoming album and connecting with fans (and having a rude run-in with someone on the way). The video ends with the word “Iceman is coming soon”
Why did Drake name his album Iceman?
If those ended in Drake’s live broadcast, his album would be called the Iceman. What is that? Is it a Toronto ice supplier? A nickname, no one knows about drizzle? Or a reference for the character of the same name Marvel comics? Iceman is part of the X-Men superhero, freezing objects and covering his body on ice.
According to comic book writer Mike Carey, who works in various Marvel champions including the X-Men, said the Iceman is “honest and honest.” Carey also shared that the Iceman is brave enough to “face unpleasant situations and admit his mistakes.”
After Drake had a rap battle with K Dot last year, he might have found common ground with the characters of the comics. It was unpleasant when Drake held his own hatred in that hatred, from being called a pedophile to suing himself on the Diss track “Don’t Like Us”.
