Drake’s dad checks in on Joe Budden’s fiery podcast rant

Drake’s father Dennis Graham asks Joe Budden to give up his son after rapper-turned-podcaster OVO founder hits out at Kendrick Lamar (Kendrick Lamar)’s “Not Like Us” is in scorched earth after a legal battle with Universal Music Group.

Barden addressed the topic on the latest episode of his podcast, sparking Graham’s ire. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (November 27), Graham insisted that Budden put the brakes on, ordering him to “stand up now!!!!!!!!”

He later issued a more strongly worded order.

“Joe needs to quit,” he added. “This has nothing to do with his period.”

Joe Budden slams the Toronto rap star amid a heated rant about Drake’s father, claiming he’s “a bunch of assholes behind the scenes.”

“He’s a selfish, lying, manipulative bastard who has made enemies for 15 years and now it’s reached a boiling point,” he added.

Budden then accused him of being untrustworthy, before seemingly suggesting that Drake had a falling out with Metro Boomin. He also argued that Drake had previously been protected because he had the support of UMG CEO Lucian Grainge.

“The days of blindness are over,” he declared. “That’s it for now. I don’t want to hear that right now.

This isn’t the first time Drake’s father has come to Joe Budden amid a long-running strained relationship with his son. In October 2023, he lashed out at the former Slaughterhouse rapper and other critics of Drake.

“It’s such a shame that a young artist can’t do his thing and bask in his glory without an old hater trying to burst his bubble because he’s left with nothing,” Graham wrote in an Instagram comment.
