Drake became the biggest topic of the weekend after rumors surfaced about Kendrick Lamar and Future potentially feuding with “The Boy.” However, over the past few days, Drake’s list of enemies may have grown, making the rapper’s beef with Liushen very deep and rather daunting.
Fans spent the weekend analyzing Future and Metro Boomin’s new album “We Don’t Trust You,” which was released on March 22. Kendrick Lamar’s much-discussed lyrics from “Like That,” included on the joint album, became a hot topic. This emerged on social media shortly after the album was released. K-Dot’s bars seemed aimed at Drake and J. Cole, but while the song was exciting, it didn’t completely surprise rap fans. There are quite a few rappers who seem to have issues with Drake right now, many of which are pure speculation.
Drake and Metro Boomin’s beef
It would make sense for Metro to include Drizzy’s diss content on his new album, as the producer appears to be having some issues with the rapper in 2023. Metro admitted on X (formerly Twitter) last year that he was unhappy with the lack of awards for his 2022 albums Heroes & Villains (vs. Drake) and 21 Savage’s Her Loss. Drake seemed to think this was disrespectful, prompting him to name certain “tweeters and deleters” in the video before the end of the year.
Metro tried to defuse the situation by saying his issues with Drake were “not deep at all,” but Drake added fuel to the fire with another dig at Young Metro. There were also rumors that Metro was pillowing with a girl about his dislike of Drizzy, and the words eventually made their way to the Canadian rapper himself. None of this has yet been confirmed.
Kendrick Lamar Beef
Rap fans have also pointed out that Kendrick has been coming for Drake’s neck for a while, possibly even dating back to Kendrick’s 2011 “Buried Alive” verse. In the “Take Care” episode, young Kendrick admitted in his verse that an affiliation with Drake might not actually be good for him.
“So blame it on Mr. OVOXO/That’s why I breathe all the vanity I know,” Kendrick rapped at the time.

Kung Fu Kenny officially kicked off their feud in 2013 when he posted a much-discussed lyric on Big Sean’s song “Control.” In the song, Kendrick (Kung Fu Kenny) calls out nearly every major rapper by name, including Drake. The latter admitted that he never felt threatened by the Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper, which made the situation worse.
“I don’t really have anything to say about it,” Drake told Billboard in August of that year of K-Dot’s “Control.” “To me, it sounds like an ambitious idea. That’s it. I’m clear [Kendrick]No murder on me on any platform. So when that day comes, I guess we can revisit the subject. “
The future of beef starts at some point
Well, it seems this topic has been revisited. After listening to “Like That,” fans quickly began looking for other signs of 6 God’s friction on the “We Don’t Trust You” album. Everyone thinks Future also has issues with Drake just because of his relationship with Metro, as they’ve been working on a joint project for a long time. Drake and Future were once the kings of joint projects, releasing “What a Time to Be Alive” in 2015. The two last collaborated on Future’s “Life Is Good” in 2020. Drizzy then began working more with 21 Savage, which led to their Her Loss joint album and tour together.
Rap fans then took particular note of a verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s album intro track “We Don’t Trust You,” in which Pluto talks about “pillow talk.” Supporters took this to mean that Future and Drake might have some issues over girls. This has led fans to go back to each artist’s extensive recordings in search of other clues to help form a timeline of this alleged betrayal.
It didn’t take long for fans to start watching Drake’s For All the Dogs cut “What Would Pluto Do?” from a different perspective. Fans now believe the song’s hook is a potential dig for future acts.
“Last time I saw her, she was having sex with my n***a/So, the question is, the question is, ‘What would Pluto do?’ He would fuck that guy, so I did it,” Drake raps in the song.

Fans then continued to retrace the timeline and cited Drake’s 2022 song “More M’s” as another dig at Future. This time, Drake called out the rapper for hooking up with a girl he was interested in. It doesn’t help that NORE has previously stated that Future may have been mad at Drake for collaborating with 21 Savage’s Her Loss.
“I would say it makes the Drake and Future albums less important,” NORE said in 2023. “That’s what’s alleged. It’s all rumors. Never heard it from Future, never heard it from Drake, never heard it from 21.” But it’s a big rumor that’s circulating right now . “

Multiple rappers unfollow Drake on social media
Rumors are swirling about the artist unfollowing Drake. On Saturday, The Weeknd’s signee Nav allegedly unfollowed Drake on social media that day. Considering Drake and The Weeknd’s history, this move further deepens the plot. Does this mean that the collaborators on “Crew Love” also have a bad relationship? After news of the unfollow broke, Drake referenced Nav’s 2020 song “Turks” in an Instagram caption. “I didn’t realize I was in Turkey, baby,” Drizzy wrote. The Weeknd also appears on the song “Young Metro” from Metro and Future’s We Don’t Trust You. Is this album a line drawn in the sand?
After “Like That” aired, footage of Future and Metro Boomin performing at Rolling Loud in California in early March began circulating. This was done to show that Travis Scott joined the duo on stage, urging the duo to play “Like That.” Is La Flame also going up against Drake? Considering Trav’s devotion to Kanye West, it makes sense for fans to believe this theory. Kanye and Drake have hated each other for years. Most recently, Ye said “F**k Drake” on Instagram just this month.

As the internet continues to speculate, Rick Ross has also reportedly unfollowed Drizzy on social media. While there’s no official confirmation of a rivalry, the timing of these removals suggests there’s definitely something wrong.
Metro Boomin tries to quash rumors
Metro Boomin finally stepped in on Sunday (March 25) to try to put all further speculation about the beef to rest. Social media detective work became increasingly far-fetched over the weekend, and producers hope fans will enjoy the album.
“Stop making up stories about getting engaged and enjoy the music,” he commented on X, responding to a fan’s latest theory that Drake and Future are whining about a girl.
Drake seemed to express clear frustration with the situation during a recent tour in Florida.
“A lot of people asked me how I felt,” Drake told concertgoers. “I’m going to let you know how I feel. Listen, I feel the same way I want you to feel about your fucking self when you walk out of here tonight. Because you know how I feel.” “How does it feel? Me My fucking head is up, my back is straight, all ten of my fucking toes are down. I know that no matter what, it’s not a thing on earth I could ever have sex with in my life.”
What all these rumors and subconscious arguments lead to remains to be seen, but in the words of Gandalf the White in The Lord of the Rings: things are happening and they can’t be undone.
