Today, Drake surprised his fans by previewing three new songs on what is believed to be his Burner Instagram account @plottttwistttttt. The three songs were released on a special website along with a trove of intimate footage from the rapper’s past. The videos are very in-depth and really show a day in the life of a boy.
Drake provides extensive video footage from old studio sessions and private sessions
The footage, shared on the 100gigs.org website on Tuesday (August 6), includes footage from years of private conversations, studio sessions and behind-the-scenes recordings. Rhyme releases never-before-seen photos. The images include possible album covers, and the photos are among the candidates for his highly regarded album.
In a 25-minute feature-length video, fans get an in-depth look at the creative process behind Drake’s 2016 album Views, as he puts the album together. Elsewhere, Drake praised Lil Yachty’s creative thinking on Yachty’s song “Poland” and talked about potentially incorporating Future into Drizzy’s 2016 hit “Hotline Bling.”
Drake also played table tennis with NBA star Stephen Curry, enjoyed some unreleased music in Barbados, and rehearsed “Take Care” with a young Rihanna in other unreleased footage. In more clips, Liushen talks about the recording process of his song “Talk Up” with Jay-Z and what it was like to want to rap with Hov. Drake also took his followers through the complicated process of mixing in Michael Jackson’s vocals on his Scorpion version of “Don’t Matter to Me.” There are over 300 previously unreleased videos in the library, now available to any fan of the Toronto MC.
It’s unclear why Drizzy decided to release these videos, but fans are grateful that the videos have never been released. The point is there’s a lot of interesting stuff to sift through.
