Drake’s feud with Kendrick Lamar has largely been put to rest, but despite it all, the Toronto hitmaker remains at the forefront of hip-hop fans’ minds. He’s stayed mum on Kendrick’s “LA Pop Out,” his “Not Like Us” music video and more. Not surprisingly, this has left his followers more eager than ever to hear what he has to say and to see what’s next for him.
While Drake has yet to respond in this regard, he did recently share a late-night post on Instagram. He shared a photo of himself lying in bed with his eyes closed, surrounded by stuffed animals. “The pressure of standing on it won’t just make your ears pop,” he wrote, leaving at least some room for interpretation.

Of course, many suspected the headline was a reference to an apparent assassination attempt on Donald Trump, which made the former president’s ears bleed. It also seems to remind us that he is still one of the most commercially successful hip-hop artists currently. With the fallout from his feud with Kendrick, it’s one thing that hasn’t been taken away from him yet. Even before the back and forth with the Compton performer, he was already Spotify’s most-streamed rapper for all of 2024.
For now, it remains to be seen if and how Drake recovers from this viral lyrical war, in which Kendrick leveled some serious accusations against him. It looks like he’s working on his recovery and perhaps plotting his next move. What do you think of Drake’s latest Instagram post? Do you agree with what he said about pressure at the top?
