Drake and Kendrick Lamar are once again under the microscope for their comments. As rumors continue to emerge about an alleged rap feud between Future, Metro Boomin, Drake, J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar, so do Puff Daddy’s mounting sexual assault accusations. Now, instead of fans poring over the aforementioned rapper’s lyrics for bass hits and secretly mocking bars, their old tweets are being checked.
Exhibit A: Earlier this week, a 12-year-old tweet from Drake in March 2012 popped up on the timelines of 4.6 million users as someone appeared to discover an early connection between Drake and Diddy.
“In this n###a Diddy View, I think I saw his vision, too,” Drake tweeted.

In an eerily similar fashion, a tweet posted by Lamar, also timestamped in March 2012, was seen by more than 2.2 million viewers after the user recycled the post.
“Birdman, Master P, Diddy = The Boss,” Lamar tweeted at the time. The tweet was accompanied by the former Top Dawg Entertainment songwriterβs genius lyrics to the good boy mAAd City album track βSing About Me, Iβm Dying of Thirst,β which reads: βThree n###s in a room, It was my first time being thrown.β

Users even managed to sift through old tweets from late Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant to express his support for Diddy.
“My man @diddy’s #CANTSTOPWONTSTOP is an inspiration and testament to hard work. World premiere tonight on itunes #inspirational,” Bryant tweeted in 2017.

Others even hinted at a possible connection between the deaths of South African rapper Aka and Diddy after discovering a tweet in which Diddy appeared to credit the bad boy mogul as his inspiration for creating flavored alcoholic spirits .
“You inspire me so much! I even started my own line of vodka flavors so I could be a boss like you! Come to Africa @Diddy we love you! We love it,” Aka said in 2019 one tweet read.

Last but not least, City Girl’s Yung Miami’s Diddy tweet from two years ago regained social media attention, with USHER and DJ Fresh’s tweets also getting involved. What do you think? Is this just a coincidence? Is the internet taking off as usual, or could this be part of a larger trend that has yet to be discovered?
