Doja Cat Wet at the 2024 Met Gala

The stars gathered at the 2024 Met Gala, and Doja Cat also appeared at the event in the shape of a drop.

The annual Met Gala came to an end on Monday night (May 6) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The theme of this year’s event is “Sleeping Beauty: Reawakening Fashion”, specifically “clothes and fashion so fragile that they cannot be worn again”.

The Californian rapper wore nothing but a towel before the event, then entered the Met in a soaked white T-shirt (and no underwear). Photos below.

Doja Cat Interprets 2024 Met Gala Looks

On the red carpet, Doja explained her fun look in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

“I know people make flowers, but the flower I chose is the most commonly used flower, and it’s cotton,” Doja says in the video below. “So I wanted to make a white T-shirt, but also because white T-shirts are timeless and it felt very poetic to choose it, and I knew it wouldn’t blend in too much, and I really don’t like blending in, so that’s what we did .

“I’m actually wet now, it’s water,” she added. “I’m not supposed to reveal this secret, but it’s hairspray. It’s hairspray, it’s all hairspray, and it’s smooth throughout.”

Last year, Doja appeared at the 2023 Met Gala, looking like a real-life cat with the help of prosthetic special effects.
